Common Questions

How do I know if my child has lice?
Common signs include itching, scratching, or seeing tiny white nits attached firmly to the hair shaft or live lice moving on the scalp. If you're unsure, we can perform a professional head check to confirm whether treatment is needed.
Do you come to our home?
Yes. We provide convenient in-home appointments throughout the Greater Houston area so your family can receive treatment in a comfortable, private environment.
How long does treatment take?
Treatment time depends on the number of people being treated, hair length, and the severity of the infestation. Most appointments are completed in one to three hours.
Should everyone in the family be checked?
Yes. If one person has lice, it's a good idea for everyone in the household to be checked. We only recommend treatment for those who actually have lice or viable nits.
Is your treatment safe for children?
Our goal is to provide safe, effective lice removal while minimizing unnecessary treatments. Before treatment begins, we'll explain our process and answer any questions you have so you can make an informed decision.
Will I need to throw away bedding, pillows, or stuffed animals?
Usually not. Lice survive for only a short time away from the human scalp. We will provide practical cleaning recommendations so you know exactly what should—and shouldn't—be cleaned.
Can my child return to school after treatment?
Many children can return to school after successful treatment, but school policies vary. We recommend checking with your child's school regarding its specific attendance requirements.
Can adults get lice?
Yes. Although lice are most common among school-aged children, adults can also become infected through close head-to-head contact.
Are pets able to spread lice?
No. Human head lice live only on humans. Dogs, cats, and other household pets do not spread human head lice.
How can we help prevent lice from coming back?
Avoid head-to-head contact whenever possible, avoid sharing hats, brushes, and hair accessories, and check family members if another case occurs. We also provide prevention education during your appointment.
How quickly can you come?
Appointment availability varies based on demand and location. Contact us by phone or text and we'll do our best to schedule the earliest available appointment.
How much does treatment cost?
Pricing depends on the number of people receiving treatment and the services needed. Visit our Pricing page or contact us for a personalized quote.
What areas do you serve?
We proudly provide mobile in-home lice removal services throughout Greater Houston, including Houston, Katy, Cypress, Spring, Tomball, The Woodlands, Sugar Land, Pearland, Memorial, Bellaire, Friendswood, Kingwood, Humble, and many surrounding communities.
